Gregor Maehle, m\u00e9dico y profesor de Ashtanga yoga, estudi\u00f3 en su d\u00eda la importancia del psoas il\u00edaco. Recientemente, tanto la medicina como la neurociencia han demostrado que existe una relaci\u00f3n entre la rama il\u00edaca y la contracci\u00f3n excesiva de los m\u00fasculos relacionados con ella en respuesta al estr\u00e9s ambiental. Esto puede provocar rigidez en la articulaci\u00f3n sacroil\u00edaca y afectar a las gl\u00e1ndulas adrenales, que est\u00e1n asociadas a la producci\u00f3n de las hormonas y los neurotransmisores encargados de las reacciones de lucha o huida. Cuando padecemos rigidez en la cadera debido a unos h\u00e1bitos sedentarios, al hecho de pasar largas horas frente al ordenador, a un estado de estr\u00e9s sostenido en el tiempo o a la pr\u00e1ctica de ejercicios que no se corresponden con nuestro tipo de cuerpo, hasta los movimientos m\u00e1s sencillos, como agacharnos o sentarnos con las piernas cruzadas, pueden suponer todo un desaf\u00edo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En esta serie practicar\u00e1s posturas que te ayudar\u00e1n a destensar y tonificar los m\u00fasculos de la pelvis, los muslos, los gl\u00fateos y la zona lumbar a fin de combatir problemas como la rigidez, las contracturas, las atrofias y los bloqueos.
